U13 Jaguars Bring Home Another 1st -  Over the Memorial Day Weekend, the NSA U13 Jaguars won the Thomas C. Murray Memorial Cup hosted by the Carmel United Soccer Club in Indianapolis, IN.  In pool play, the Jaguars eliminated Carmel United Elite (defending Indiana State Cup champions) and Crew Juniors Gold (Ohio).  The championship game was a rematch of an earlier tournament game, with the Jaguars again beating Westside United FC (currently ranked #1 in Indiana on gotsoccer.com).  Congratulations Jaguars!

NSA teams advance in Illinois State Cup -  The U13 NSA Jaguars defeated Eclipse Select West and have advanced to the Illinois State Cup Finals. The NSA Jaguars are coached by Bonnie Young, the NSA Senior Girls DOC and Coach Malcolm Boswell.  Additionally, the U12 NSA Lasers, advanced to the Illinois State Cup Semi-finals by finishing first in their respective pool. The NSA Lasers were lead by Coach Maggie Nowicki and also coached by Bonnie Young. NSA is proud of both teams and coaches and would like to wish them well on the rest of their journey to the State Cup Championships.

On a separate but equal note, NSA welcomes home Zoe Swift after her recent attendance at the USYSA National Team Camp last weekend, which was held in Chula Vista, California. Zoe Swift is a member of the U16 NSA Fury. The NSA Fury will be competing for a National Championship in Overland Park, Kansas, July 20th through July 25th.  Good Luck NSA Fury.

NSA U16 Fury is headed to USYSA Nationals - NSA is proud to announce that the U16 NSA Fury have just qualified to compete for the US Soccer National Championships, from July 20 through July 25, 2010, in Overland Park, Kansas , by finishing in 2nd place in the US Soccer National League. The NSA Fury head coach and trainer is Rade Martinovic and the team is assisted by Bonnie Young, the club’s Senior Girl’s DOC.

Zoe Swift Elected for USSF U15 National Roster - Our club is equally proud to announce the individual accomplishment of Zoe Swift, a member of the NSA U16 Fury, for being elected to the Under 15 Girls’ National Team, 24-player roster. Zoe will attend the Team's Domestic Training Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, from Saturday, May 8 thru Saturday, May 15, 2010. Congratulations Zoe.

Zoe Swift Selected for USSF National Team - NSA is proud to announce that Zoe Swift, of the NSA Fury, has been selected to participate on the 2010 US Soccer Federation U15 Girls National Team and will attend the National Team Training Camp to be held in Carson, CA from February 13 - 20, 2010.  Zoe is one of 24 elite athletes chosen for the National Team.  More information will be announced after the camp.  We are very proud of you and wish you good luck Zoe.

NSA U16 Fury Take MRL Crown  - The Fury completed their Midwest Regional League Premier Division soccer season with a 6-1 victory over Sockers FC on 10/11/09.  The win capped a 7-1-1 record, earning the NSA the league championship and an automatic birth into the 2010 USYSA Midwest Regional Tournament held in June in Beavercreek, OH.  The U16 Fury are 2008 and 2009 Illinois State Cup Champions, and so far this season have a 12-1-1 record, scoring 48 goals and allowing only 5 goals.

NSA U13 Jaguars Winning Streak Continues  - The NSA U13 Jaguars continue their winning ways, capturing the championship of the GLSA Octoberfest Classic on October 10-11, 2009.  During pool play, the Jaguars defeated the Rockford Dactyls (2-1), the Arlington Aces Academy Red (4-0) and the Ela Red (1-0).  In the semi-final match, the Jaguars defeated Lake Country United of Wisconsin (1-0).  The championship game was a rematch of the championship game from the 2009 Palatine Celtic Cup, with the Jaguars again defeating the Eclipse Select East team by a score of 3-0.  This is the Jaguars 5th consecutive tournament championship, and they have earned a 24-0 record in their five fall tournaments.

NSA U13 Jaguars Fourth Tournament, Fourth Championship  - The NSA U13 Jaguars have earned their fourth consecutive tournament championship. 
At the Best of the Midwest Tournament in Hebron, Indiana on September 26-27, the NSA U13 Jaguars defeated Greater Toledo FC of Ohio (5-0), Tigers 97 of Indiana (6-0), and Omaha FC Elite 96/97 of Nebraska (1-0) to advance from pool play.  In the semi-final match-up, the Jaguars defeated the Zionsville Eagles 97 Select of Indiana (2-0).  The Jaguars won the championship game 3-0 over CUSA Courage of Ohio.  In their four tournaments this fall, the Jaguars have a 19-0 record and have outscored their opponents a combined 73-0.

NSA U10 Shooting Stars Crowned Champions  - NSA U10 Shooting Stars competed as U11s at the Great Lakes Soccer Challenge.  The team won 2-0 in the final against Blue Fire.  Good job ladies!

Heel Pain Inservice by Accelerated Rehabilitation  - NSA has requested Accelerated Rehab to conduct an inservice on heel pain education and prevention on Sat, Oct 3, 10:30 AM at Nike Park, southeast fields.  Focus will be on players ages 9 - 13, but all NSA players and parents are welcome to attend.

NSA U13 Jaguars Tournament Champions, Third in a Row - The Jaguars won the Palatine Celtic Cup giving them three championships this fall.  The Jaguars remian undefeated and have not allowed any goals in 14 games.

NSA U17 Storm capture 1st - The Storm went 4-0 to win the Schaumburg Soccerfest 2009.   The girls outscored their opponents 12-1.  Team is coached by Bonnie Young.  Congratulations ladies.

NSA U13 Jaguars Champions, Again - Once again the Jaguars take 1st place with a record of 4-0 at the Schaumburg Soccerfest 2009.  The team outscored their opponents 24-0.  Team is coached by Bonnie Young.

NSA U13 Jaguars Champions - The Jaguars were crowned Champions at FC Milwaukee Invitational 2009.  They came away with an impressive 5-0 record and outscored thier opponents 17 - 0.  Great way to start to the season!

Goal Keeper Camp - NSA Goal Keepers spent 10 intense hours of training with one of the best woman keepers, Caroline Jonnson of the Chicago Red Stars.  Chicago Red Stars Midfielder Frida Ostberg and Ella Massar, Red Star and former University of Illinois standout, also joined Jonnson for training.

NSA U15 Fury Illinois State Cup Champions  NSA U15 Premier Fury captured their second straight IL State Cup Championship on Sunday, June 14th with a hard fought victory over Eclipse Select 93/94.  To reach the finals, NSA needed to get through Windy City Pride 41, Strikers FV 94, and Chicago Fire Jr. Red 11.  The victory has placed the Fury in the USYSA Region 2 tournament to be held in Sioux Falls, SD from June 20 - 24.  Congratulations ladies!  The Fury is coached by Rade Martinovic.

Memorial Day Tournament Successes -  Over the holiday weekend the U9 Thunder and U11 Rockets each took home the Championship trophy at Campton United's Midwest Cup.  The U10 Comets celebrated as finalists and the U12 Lasers competed in the semi-finals.  All NSA teams showcased their superb technical abilities and played beautiful soccer.  Congratulations Ladies!

NSA Announces New Director Positions - James Tonner has accepted the position of High School Program Director and Rade Martinovic has accepted the position of Technical Director.  NSA is very proud to have such talented and loyal coaches on its staff.

NSA and Acceleration Continue Partnership - Acceleration Naperville (formerly known as Get Fast, Inc.) offers a $100 discount towards any Acceleration package to soccer players trying out for NSA Premier.  NSA players will still receive the best discount at the Naperville facility.

NSA teams reach tournament finals - The U13 Fireballs take 1st at NSR Midwest Cup by knocking off Team Chicago Blue Dolphins.  The Fireballs are coached and trained by Rade Martinovic and James Tonner.  Additionally, the U11 Jaguars, coached by Malcolm Boswell and James Tonner, and U12 Premier, coached by Leslie Szajkovics,  reached the finals of the Nike Classic Cup.   Congratulations!

IWSL Releases Schedules for Spring Season - NSA Premier girls teams can find their IWSL spring season schedule by clicking on the Teams page and then clicking on the Team Website hyperlink for your team. As game changes are made through IWSL, the schedule on your team page is updated automatically. Additionally, as IWSL posts game results, your team page will automatically update to show the result and the change in division standings.

To get directions to the field where away games are played, simply click on the hyperlinked Field Name within the schedule on your team page. Additionally, clicking on the IWSL Games hyperlink on the Teams page will  allow you to see all the NSA Premier girl's games (and results) that are scheduled for a particular week.

NSA Premier Teams Participate in President's Day Tournaments - Four NSA Premier teams traveled over the President's Day weekend to compete in tournaments. The U14 Premier Fury, U15 Showcase Storm and U17 Showcase Tigers traveled to Tampa, Florida to compete in the highly rated Score at the Shore Winter College Invitational; while the U17 Competitive Rush traveled to Las Vegas Nevada to compete in the Las Vegas Coaches Classic. NSA Premier Teams Successful in Valentine's Day Tournaments - Nine teams competed in the annual Valentines Indoor tournament held in McCook, IL the weekend of February 8-10. February 2008 - Presidents Day Tournaments
Four teams traveled over Presidents Day weekend to compete in tournaments. The U14 Premier Fury, U15 Showcase Storm and U17 Showcase Tigers traveled to Tampa Florida to compete in the highly rated Score at the Shore Winter College Invitational; while the U17 Competitive Rush traveled to Las Vegas Nevada to compete in the Las Vegas Coaches Classic.

The U14 Premier came away with Finalist honors. The team defeated Plantation Eagles 93 3-1, Clearwater Chargers 1-0, RSL 93 3-0 before tying IUS Elite Black 0-0. The Fury beat Space Coast Storm 1-0 in the semi-final and then fell to IUS Elite Black 1-0 in the Championship game. Congratulations Fury!! The U15 Showcase finished as semi-finalist. The team defeated FC America Kumba 2-0 and Plantation Eagles 92 Copa 3-0, the team fell 2-1 to RSL U15 Girls Elite 2-1 in preliminary games. The team then narrowly missed the finals by dropping their semi-final match to Ann Arbor Arsenal. Congratulations Storm!!

The U17 Showcase were champions of the U17 group. The team defeated Team Boca 90/91 3-2 and Freestate Sharks 3-1 before losing to Clearwater Chargers 1-0 in their preliminary round, from there the Tigers dominated by defeating CFU Lightning 2-0 in the quarter-finals, Countryside Premier 1-0 in the semi-finals and JYSC Fury Green 4-0 in the championship game. Congtratulations Tigers!!

The U17 Competitive finished out their weekend with a record of 1-1-2, throughout all four games the Rush allowed only two goals. The team tied Calgary Willowridge Mustangs (Canada) 1-1 and Marin FC Red (California) 0-0 before falling to host Las Vegas Premier 0-1. In the Consolation game the Rush came back and defeated Las Vegas Premier 1-0.

 

February 2008 - Valentines Indoor Tournament
Nine teams competed in the annual Valentines Indoor tournament held in McCook IL the weekend of February 8-10. All teams placed in the top four of their respective age groups/divisions.

February 2008 - NSA Girls U12 Premier wins Valentine's Day Tournament
The NSA Girls U12 Premier team won the U12 premier division of the St. Valentine's Day tournament in McCook on Sunday. NSA beat the Powerstrikers 4-0, tied Chicago Blast Red 0-0, and beat Orland Park Wildcats 2-0, before advancing to the finals against the host team Darien Strikers Black. In the finals, NSA lead 3-2 with 10 seconds left to play, before Darien scored to tie the game at 3-3. However, NSA clinched the championship in a 4-1 shootout. Team members include Ellie Adochio, Veronica Clements, Cora Climo, Sarah Feder, Mackenzie Fuller, Abby Joyce, Kimberly Lechowicz, Meghan Lee, Abby Mangefrida, Gianna Marconi, Grace Orndorff, Cynsy Plant, Caroline Rico and Mary Rounce.


November 2007 - Veterans Invite
The U17 Red ended their season on a high note taking home their second tournament championship of the fall season by capturing first place at the Veterans Invitational in Evansville Indiana Nov 10-11. The team defeated Warren County Cyclones (OH), Vardar West (MI) and Knights (IL) in pool play outscoring their opponents 9-1. The team went on to defeat TNT Dynamite 91 from Michigan 3-0 in the final. Congratulations Rush!


November 2007 - Fall Recap
Final league standings are in and once again NSA performed exceptionally well in the Illinois Women’s Soccer League (IWSL) and the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL). The 20 teams NSA had in league play accomplished the following:

  • Five 1st place teams
  • Four 2nd place teams
  • Two 3rd place teams
  • A cumulative record of 105 wins, 56 losses, and 26 ties
  • 424 goals scored and 273 allowed for a plus minus of +151

October 2007 - The NSA Premier traveled to St Louis to take part in one of the regions top level tournament, Metro United Fall Classic. The club had a fantastic showing finishing 18-8-3 for the weekend.

U14 girls finished 1-0-2 the team did not allow any goals
U15 girls finished 0-2-1, the team lost two close matches 1-0
U17 girls finished 2-1, the team dropped only their 2nd game of the fall season 1-0 to eventual champions KCFC Impact
U18 girls also finished 2-1 for the tournament.

October 2007 - Congratulations to the NSA U17 Showcase Tigers who added another championship to their 2007 fall season by finishing 5-0-2 in the MRL First Division Red, the team beat out Arsenal Primo, Nebraska state champions, to claim the title. The Tigers currently hold an impressive 19-1-3 record, outscoring their opponents 85 to 25.
The Tigers are currently ranked #6 in Illinois by National Soccer Ranking.com and #3 by Got Soccer.Com

Congratulations to the NSA U14 Premier Fury who are currently 6-0 in their division of MRL and 3-0 in the IWSL Champions division. The Fury defeated highly ranked Eclipse Select 93/94 in MRL play 2-0. The team is currently 15-0-1 overall outscoring their opponents 39 to 4. With that win the Fury garnered a national ranking of #22, #7 in the region and #2 in Illinois. The Fury will meet up with Chicago Magic who is currently ranked #1 in Illinois on Oct 28th.


October 7, 2007 - Libertyville Tournament
Congratulations to the NSA Premier U11 Jaguars ranked # 5 in ILL , for winning the Octoberfest tournament in Libertyville the weekend of October 5-6.
The girls defeated, Libertyville U10 Premier Orange, Sirens SC and Libertyville Premier Black 1 in round robin play.
 
The team met up with Libertyville U11 Premier Orange in the final and won 2-0. Congratulations Jaguars on your first place finish!
The U13 Red Explosion also competed and finished 1-2 for the tournament. The team defeated Libertyville Gray 7-0 before falling to Waunakee Spirit 1-0 in pool play.

Congratulations to the boys NSA U8 Ravens who won all five of their games at the Octoberfest in Libertyville . The Ravens defeated Libertyville Premier Black 1, Libertyville Premier Black 2, Lincolnshire Lightning, Chicago Kickers White and Northbrook Spartans Green. Great job Ravens!

Congratulations to the boys NSA U10 Hawks who took finalist honors in their flight. To get to the finals the team defeated Rockford Raptors 3-1, Team Elmhurst Premier 5-1 and Trevian SC White 4-0. In the finals the Hawks fell to Eclipse Select 2-1.


September 2007 - Palatine Celtic Cup Tournament Results
The NSA Premier showed why its ranked 29th in the nation, the club sent 15 teams to the Palatine Celtic Cup over Labor Day weekend; six teams competed in the finals earning three championships and three finalists with a final record after 59 games totaling 39-11-9 for ages U11 - U18.


Both U11 teams competed in the finals in their respective divisions with the U11 Jaguars winning the championship game against Glenview 3-2. On their way to the final the team defeated Palatine Celtic Select (3-0), Lake Country United WI (6-0), Wilmette Wings Red (6-0). In the semi-final the team defeated Ela Red (3-0).

The U11 Lasers finished their weekend as the finalist in their division; the team dropped a close game to Palatine Celtic Premier 2-1 in their final. The team defeated Arlington Aces White (8-0), Rockford Dactyls Navy (5-0) and CA United White MI (6-0). In the semi-final it was the Lasers defeating Huntley Heat (2-1).

The club had a strong showing at the U17 level with both the NSA Showcase Tigers and the NSA Competitive Rush earning championships in their respective divisions. The Tigers (ranked #8 in IL) defeated SC Waukesha Freedom (#5 in WI) (2-0), FC United Select (#7 in IL) (4-1) and KUFC Premier (#10 in IL) (6-0) in pool play. In the semi-finals the Tigers defeated Livonia Meteors MI (2-1) and finished their championship weekend with a win over Windy City Pride (#3 in IL) 4-0.

The Rush rolled through their pool play with wins against FCX White South (4-0), Libertyville Premier Orange (4-1) and Livonia Meteors Blue (3-0) (ranked #10 in MI), despite a slow start to their semi-final game; the Rush prevailed with a win over Team Evanston Orange (1-0) and capping off their championship weekend with a win over Hawks Green (4-1).

The U14 Premier Fury fell in their championship game vs. CA United MI in penalty kicks 3-2 earning finalist honors. On their way to the final game the team defeated Hoffman United Rockets (2-1), LTSC Select (4-0), Glenview Titans Gold (2-0). In the semi-final game the team defeated FC Barrington Black (3-0).

The U13 Red X-plosion also finished as finalist falling to FC Peoria in the final game of the weekend. The team defeated Euro Soccer Premier (1-0), AJFC Lions MI (2-0) and tied Lake Country United (WI) at the end of regulation after earning the victory in the shootout 5-4 the team advanced to the final game.

Also making strong showings were the U12 Premier (2-1), U12 Red (1-1-1), U13 Premier (2-1), who missed advancing to the final game decided on penalty kicks, U14 Red (1-1-1), U15 Showcase (2-1), U16 Showcase (1-2), U16 Competitive (1-1-1), U18 Flames (1-1-1) and the U18 Blaze (1-0-2).

August 2007 - NFC MILWAUKEE
Before the rain came down and cancellations were made, NSA Premier teams were making their way to championship games and first place finishes.

The U14 Premier Fury defeated Hoffman United Rockets 2-0 and Madison 56’ers Red 4-0 (ranked #5 in WI) on their way to the championship game against Eclipse.

The U14 Red Rebels defeated Kickers Premier 1-0 and Brookfield Red 2-1 (ranked #9 in WI), the team was on top of their division being the only undefeated team with a 2-0 record - two games were left unplayed in bracket play.

The U17 Premier Tigers rolled away with wins in their games defeating Hawks U17 Green 8-0 and Madison 56’ers Red 5-0, the team was on their way to the championship game against FC Milwaukee Blue.
The U18 Red Blaze finished 2-0 in their bracket defeating FC Milwaukee White 3-0 and Ela Premier 1-0 they were to face Stevens Point Select in the championship game.
Also competing in the tournament were the U11 Premier Lazers (1-1-0), U13 Premier Fireballs (0-1-1), U15 Premier Storm (0-1-1), U16 Showcase (1-1-0),
U16 Competitive (1-0-1), U13 Red Explosion, U17 Red Rush and U18 Flames.


CSK Muscatine Iowa
The Tigers started their ‘07/’08 season with some excellent play in Muscatine Iowa . The Tigers performed well generating a 2-0-1 record for the tournament.

The Tigers opened play Thursday night with a very good performance defeating “D-Feeters” (ranked #5 in North Texas ) 3-1.

Friday the Tigers played to a 2-2 tie against the defending Iowa state champion West Des Moines Xtreme. The girls showed great composure after being down early in the match but tying things up at 1-1 prior to halftime. They found themselves down again but kept playing hard tying the match for the final 2-2 score midway through the second half.

The girls closed out the tournament with a 3-0 shutout over the always tough JB Marine club from Missouri . Congratulations Tigers!

March 2007
The U13 Premier captured first place in the top flight at the Dynamo Round Robin in Indianapolis the weekend of March 17-18. The team finished 4-0; scoring 8 goals and earning shutouts in every game. The team defeated FC Pride White (IN) 1-0, West Michigan Fire Jr (MI) 4-0, OP U12 Green (OH) 2-0 and Bangu Tsunami White (MN) 1-0.

Additionally, the U13 Red finished in 3rd place in their respective division with a record of
2-1-1 scoring 6 goals while allowing only one. The team defeated NK United (KY) 3-0, LFC Classics (KY) 3-0, tied MTSC Cobras (OH) 0-0 and fell to Fever 94 (IN) 0-1.

The U14 Premier also finished 2-1-1 scoring 4 goals and allowing just one. The team fell in a hard fought match against KY state cup runner up LFC Premier 1-0, defeating Warren County United (OH) 3-0, TNT Dynamite (MI) 1-0 and tied Cardinal Premier (OH) 0-0 in their final match.

All three teams played exceptionally well at their first outdoor tournament of the season.
