The NSA is proud to announce the hiring of our new Director of Goalkeeping and Coach, Ben Boyd. Coach Ben brings an impressive collection of coaching experience to NSA from all different levels and holds his USSF “A” License as well as his NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeper Diploma. Coach Ben has 13 years of coaching high school girl’s soccer and 7 years of coaching club soccer experience in the Chicago area.
Coach Ben has over 7 years of experience in working with top level goalkeepers in the Chicago area and he is also employed at the PAWS Goalkeeper Academy in Schaumburg as a staff coach and PAWS South Director. He was also an Academy Coach at the ODP (Olympic Development Program) as a Goalkeeper coach from 2010-2013. Ben also has multiple years of College coaching experience for both men, for four years, and for women, for 5 years.
Throughout his career, Coach Ben has had numerous accomplishments including training and assisting over 100 high school goalkeepers to go on to play at all collegiate levels, winning multiple collegiate conference championships and qualifying for multiple National Tournaments. Coach Ben has also developed multiple collegiate conference players of the year, All-Regional and All-American players. Coach Ben has coached teams that have won multiple high school regional and sectional championships. Ben graduated from Dominican University Magna Cum Laude with a degree in mathematics and he has his Masters degree in teaching.
Ben is excited to be on staff at NSA as the Director of Goalkeeping and he will train all of the NSA goalkeepers and coach the 10 Girls Red, the 14 Girls Red and the 19 Girls Comets. Please join us in welcoming Coach Ben to NSA!
