At NSA we break down our skills by direction, players should be able to create solutions to problems in game scenarios with their ability to manipulate the ball and beat opponents. Our aim is to have all young NSA players learning and executing skills in situations that call from individual creativity and the ability to move defenders by the use of body feints and foot skills.
If players can master the skills at home they can start to execute them more efficiently in practice and then in games. By the age of U11/U12 players should be familiar with the majority of foot skills and be able to execute them in game/realistic situations if needed.
The Ball Mastery and Foot skills give players a great foundation to become a technically sound player, ready for the introduction of more tactical aspects of the game as they progress through the Player Pathway with NSA.
